I have been photographing this beautiful child for the past three years. I've seen her blossom from a shy little girl to a sassy, confident, incredibly talented young lady. You should see her dance and do gymnastics! Logan loves her doggies and her doggies love her. I love how her face lights up when she is around them. Pure puppy love. Below are some of my favorites.

Sweet 16....what an exiting time in a teenager's life! More freedom, more responsibility, more freedom. Lol! I love that I was asked to photograph Lexi and capture her sweet 16 self! Skyler's smile and sparkling eyes are incredible! But, the heart and faith that this sweet, funny girl possesses is definitely what makes this Mill Valley High School senior stand out. Skyler's senior portrait session was taken on two separate, gorgeous days. She wanted a little urban and a little country, so that's exactly what she got! Her favorite flower is the sunflower, so guess what? I found the perfect field of wild sunflowers, too. Skyler brought her two best friends with her to one of her sessions. They made the session even more fun making Skyler laugh. I love capturing true emotion! Skyler, I wish you all the best as you head off to college in the fall. The future is yours!

I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous student-athlete last summer. I've watched Allison on the softball field and she is fierce! She is so funny and I had so much fun photographing her. We spent the day at several locations around Kansas City. We started at the iconic landmark, The Scout, overlooking our beautiful Kansas City skyline. Then, we toured the historic West Bottoms. On our way to Alli's high school softball field at Spring Hill High School, we stopped at a beautiful creek in Shawnee. I always try to find locations that fit my clients' personalities and wishes. I've posted a few of my favorites from our session. Allison will be heading to Wichita State University this fall and I wish her all the best. Allison, with your drive and determination, I know you will accomplish GREAT things! Go get 'em girl!

My baby is 10...double digits, baby! Wow, has time flown! I know that I'm going to blink and she's going to be 16 and driving around town with her friends. This is why I love photographs. They are little moments frozen in time that we can look back on and cherish. I love this adventure-seeking, cartwheel-doing, art-loving, candy-store-going 10 year old! One day I will look back at prints of these photos and remember exactly what she was like when she was 10. We had so much fun exploring our great city of Kansas City and finding locations that fit her personality. My wish for my sweet girl is to keep doing cartwheels in public, to keep being her creative, unique self, and to keep reaching for the stars. I love you, baby girl.

I am so fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to photograph Halle, a beautiful and talented student-athlete. We explored the West Bottoms of Kansas City, visited "The Scout" statue overlooking the Kansas City skyline and then wrapped up our day at the picturesque Jacob Loose Park. I wish Halle the best of times in her softball career and much success in college. Halle, the world is yours! Go get it!

Another fun senior session with the sweetest guy around! Brad and I walked around the West Bottoms of KC and had a blast. We are both artsy people so between shots, we would admire the graffiti and old, historic buildings that provided the backdrop for this session. One of my favorite places to shoot is in the West Bottoms of Kansas City. The rich textures of the old buildings lends so much character to photos. I was really excited when the B Family chose to have their family pictures taken there! This bunch was so fun to work with! A gorgeous mom and her handsome boys!

The K Family photo session was taken on a gorgeous fall day. The colors couldn't have been more perfect! I had a great time with this lovely family who squeezed in their session before a soccer practice. With three kids of my own, I know how busy life can get. I'm honored that the K Family took time out of their busy schedule and chose me to capture their family portraits. Beautiful family inside and out!

I'm telling you...I get THE MOST beautiful senior clients! How lucky I am to get the opportunity to photograph these young ladies (and young men, too!). This photo session took place over two days at two of the most gorgeous places in Kansas City: Jacob L. Loose Park and the West Bottoms. Here are a few of my favorites from this session. I went to school with MacKenzie's dad in a small town in western KS. Fast forward twenty-some years and I am now posting senior pictures of his beautiful daughter! It's a big, yet small world and I'm so happy that I have my small-town roots! MacKenzie is a natural beauty with the most gorgeous hair I've ever seen! She has an amazing smile and can rock the "serious" look like no other, too! Congratulations, MacKenzie, on all of the successes you've had so far on the golf course and in the classroom in your last year of high school! I wish you all the best in your future! Photographing walking one-year-olds is always an adventure! They are busy and curious and I love that! My favorite photos from this session were taken by simply following this cutie around the park and capturing him in his element. I really love shooting senior pictures. It makes me feel very nostalgic remembering the excitement of graduating from high school and the nervousness of heading off to college. For my first blog post as a photographer, I thought it was appropriate that it be about my family. We traveled to Atlanta, GA this past Christmas to visit my brother-in-law and his family, which includes his beautiful wife and adorable twin boys. They had just recently moved into a new house with gorgeous woods in their backyard. These woods made the perfect backdrop for our 1st annual group family photo session. It was a lovely Christmas and I'm so happy that we have these photos to remember it.
